Gaia Portraits

Gaia Portraits by Kelemen Kinga

Gaia Portraits is an ongoing photographic series capturing the human essence of the International Program in Scenography. Created by Kelemen Kinga, the official photographer of IPS, the series features not only participants and mentors, but also organizers, technicians, special guests, and all those whose presence shapes the program.

We all land on Earth from a transcendental world and return to it at the end of our journey. But between these moments of “before” and “after”, indifferent of our geographical origin, our bodies are uniformally shaped by the very same mass as Earth itself.
The portraits are inspired by the greek mythological goddess - Gaia.

BIOGRAPHY

Kelemen Kinga discovered her passion for photography early in childhood, inspired by her father’s work in the field. Growing up with a camera always within reach, she began exploring photography through play, driven by a deep desire to preserve memories before they faded. Her skills were developed both through her father’s guidance and through self-teaching.

Between 2013 and 2016, she studied scenography and costume design at the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș. Since 2019, she has been working as a full-time freelance photographer, focusing on applied photography.

Her main interests include portrait photography, social and documentary photography, theatre photography, and nature photography. Her professional portfolio also covers event photography, making-of/documentation, and product photography.
